Thanks to everyone who called in. We had a fascinating report from Liz Whitlock who was an observer for the recount in Racine County WI. I interviewed Liz while I was in WI and some of the clips from that interview will be featured in a piece I'm producing about her experience. The piece will run on alternet.org. It will also be featured on the Lee Camp show when Lee interviews me, probably on Thursday night.
We also had updates on what happened in the PA recount - the judge will decide Monday whether to allow the recount to go forward. Jan BenDor of MERA Michigan Election Reform Alliance had spoken to me previously about some of the problems they discovered in the MI recount, including tens of thousands of undervotes, which are turning out to be blank ballots - a possible sign of fraud. So I reported on that.
Then we had a lively discussion about
- what would be a good hashtag to cover election reform issues
- whether it would be good to have a convention to craft and adopt a platform
- and if so, would it be good to make that platform broad - or to target our top priorities
